A BlankTV Feature Presentation:
Kill the Drive - "Monsters in My Bed"
Remember what is was like in the last heat wave? How you wiped the sweat off of your forehead, prayed for rain while every breath felt like it melted off a little piece of your lungs? Hailing from Israel, Kill The Drive know a lot about heat. Their newest video, titled "Monsters in My Bed" shows just that – how it feels like to be on the verge of meltdown when the situation gets too sticky.
Set-up as a performance video and clocking in at just over 2:20, the video is a tribute to what Kill The Drive consider punk rock to be at its core; fun, fast, and aggressive. Gone are the make-up, story and special effects – "Monsters in My bed" is all about raw energy and need to say "hold it, you've crossed a line!".
For those of you unfamiliar with Kill The Drive, they are a melodic punk-rock band based in Tel-Aviv, the center of the Israeli punk scene. They've been around since 2005 and have been touring relentlessly and releasing albums DIY style – from plugging in the microphones at their makeshift studio to folding the artwork neatly into the jewel case, Kill The Drive are just as serious about their arts and crafts skills as they are about their music!
So far, 2011 has been a very exciting year for Kill The Drive; they have just returned from New York where they recorded their third album "Lady Karma" with producer John Naclerio (My Chemical Romance,Polar Bear Club, Matchbook Romance, Autopilot off, Just Surrender), and are well under way to their next US/European tour.
